Mezo Surgery

World-class surgery, at a fair fixed price.
You pay for the surgeon, not the marble lobby.

A hospital chain built for one thing: planned surgery, done well. Our surgeons include diaspora-trained specialists who operate abroad, and our theatres are properly equipped for the job. We are not the fanciest building in town, and that is the point: your money goes into the surgeon, the implant and the result, not a hotel lobby. The result is world-class standards at a lower cost, with the same accreditation in every theatre we use. Covered by your HMO where your plan allows.

Why Mezo Surgery

Tier-1 outcomes, without the tier-1 bill

Priced on the operation, not the building

You are not subsidising a marble atrium or imported fittings. The same operation, by a specialist of the same calibre, costs meaningfully less here.

Diaspora specialist expertise

Nigerian consultants trained and practising in the UK and US operate alongside our resident surgeons. The skill you would travel for, at home.

One fixed, all-in price

Surgeon, anaesthetist, theatre, implant and recovery in one agreed number, decided before you commit. No bill-shock at discharge.

Affordable, not cheap

The saving comes from taking the building out of the price, never the standard. The same accreditation and WHO safe-surgery checklist apply in every theatre we use, or we do not operate in it.

Most elective procedures are covered where your HMO plan includes surgery. We do the part patients dread: the prior authorisation with your HMO, so your cover is checked before anything is scheduled and you are not haggling at the front desk.

FAQ

The questions that matter before surgery

Is the price really all-in, or will the hospital add bills later?
One fixed price, agreed before your surgery, covers the surgeon, the anaesthetist, the theatre, your standard implant or consumables, and your recovery stay for that procedure. You know the number before you decide. Anything genuinely unforeseen is discussed with you, never sprung on you at discharge.
Who actually operates on me?
Experienced consultant surgeons, including Nigerian specialists trained and practising in the UK and US who operate with our resident consultants. It is the expertise many people travel abroad for, delivered at home, in a properly equipped theatre.
Why is this cheaper than a big-name hospital?
Because you are paying for the operation, not the building. We run focused surgical centres, not five-star lobbies, so the same procedure, by a surgeon of the same calibre, costs meaningfully less. This is affordable surgery, not cheap surgery: we never cut corners on the theatre, the implant, the anaesthetist or your recovery care, only on the frills that do not change your outcome.
Is my surgery covered by my HMO?
Many elective procedures are covered where your HMO plan includes surgery. We handle the prior authorisation with your HMO, so you are not stuck negotiating at the front desk. Send your HMO details on WhatsApp and we will check your cover before anything is scheduled.
What is day surgery, and is it safe?
Day surgery means you come in, have your procedure, and go home the same day, no overnight admission. It is standard worldwide for many operations (cataract, hernia, keyhole gallbladder, tonsils) and is safer and more comfortable when a procedure allows it. Your surgeon tells you upfront whether yours is day-case or needs a short stay.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, for planned surgery we can arrange staged payment, and HMO cover reduces or removes the out-of-pocket cost where your plan applies. Ask us and we will set out your options with the fixed quote.
Where would my surgery happen?
At a Mezo Centre of Excellence: an accredited, properly equipped facility matched to your procedure. You are told exactly where before you commit.
