Procedures, priced separately
A visit fee buys the clinician's time. Anything they actually do is billed on top, at these rates, and you agree it before it happens. Items that consume dressings, cannulas or catheters carry a refundable deposit: we charge what was used, send you the receipts, and refund the balance within 48 hours.

We will tell you when home is the wrong place
Nursing runs round the clock at home, properly rostered. Doctors do not. We cap medical attendance at 6 hours, and if someone needs a doctor at the bedside for longer than that, they need monitoring, oxygen and a team that home cannot give them. In that situation we arrange admission into a Mezo hospital instead of selling you another night at home.
Nobody should spend four hours in Lagos traffic for a fifteen minute consultation.
So we bring the fifteen minutes to you, and keep the record for the next time.

Questions people ask before they book
How soon can someone come?
Same day if you book before 2pm and you are in a covered zone. Otherwise the next morning. You choose the window when you book.
What exactly am I paying for?
Three separate things, and you see all three before you pay. First, the clinician's time, which is the visit or shift fee. Second, any procedure they perform, priced per procedure. Third, a refundable deposit for consumables like dressings, cannulas and catheters. The deposit is your money: we charge only what was used, send you the receipts, and refund the balance within 48 hours.
Why is a procedure not included in the visit fee?
Because bundling them would mean charging everybody for a catheter that most people never need. A nurse who comes for an hour and takes a set of observations should not cost the same as a nurse who comes for an hour and dresses a major wound. You pay for the time, then for the work.
Can I get a doctor to stay with my relative for 24 hours?
No, and we would rather say so. Nursing runs round the clock at home, properly rostered as two nurses on two shifts. Doctors do not: we cap medical attendance at six hours. If someone needs a doctor at the bedside beyond that, they need monitoring and a team that a house cannot provide, and we will arrange admission into a Mezo hospital instead.
Is the call-out fee extra?
The call-out fee for your zone is shown before you pay. Island Core has none, and it is waived on any booking where the service total clears ₦50,000.
Who actually turns up?
A clinician from the Mezo network: MDCN-registered doctors, registered nurses, licensed physiotherapists and trained phlebotomists. You get the name and number of whoever is assigned before they arrive.
Where do the lab samples go?
To a Mezo network laboratory under cold chain. Results come back to your phone, and a Mezo doctor calls you to explain anything abnormal at no extra cost.
Do I need a Mezo account?
No. You book with your name, phone and address. If you already have an account, the visit joins your record automatically.
Can I use my HMO?
Not yet for home visits. At-home services are cash-pay today, priced so they are worth paying for. Tell us your HMO when you book and we will flag it as we bring payers onto the network.
Which areas do you cover?
Lagos today: Island Core, Lekki to Ajah, Mainland Central, Greater Lagos. If your area is not listed, call us and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you.
