Questions people ask
How soon can I be seen?
As soon as the first free slot shown above. If none of the times suits you, ask for a call back and a coordinator will find one, usually within one working day.
What do I need for the video call?
A phone or laptop with a camera, a data connection, and somewhere you can talk without being overheard. Earphones help.
What does it cost after the first consultation?
Each psychiatrist sets their own fees, and follow-ups are agreed with you at the first consultation. They are usually two to four weeks after starting treatment and less often after that. Medication and any tests are separate and quoted before they are ordered.
Can I book for someone else?
An adult needs to agree and take part. If they will not, ask for a call back and a coordinator can arrange for the family to speak to a psychiatrist about what to do.
What if I am in crisis right now?
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, go to the nearest emergency department or call 112. To talk to someone now, call the SURPIN suicide prevention helpline on 0800 078 7746 (free, 24 hours). Mezo does not provide emergency care.
