Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy at Home in Lagos

A licensed physiotherapist comes to your address with a portable couch and the equipment, assesses you, treats you and leaves you with exercises you can actually do in the space you live in. No traffic, no waiting room, and no getting a painful back or a new knee into a car. Rehabilitation works as a course, so most people book a block of six with the same physiotherapist.

Hands-on treatment, exercise and advice, then a short programme of exercises written for your home, your stairs and your routine.

Each visit records how far you have come against the goals. On the block, a Mezo doctor reviews your progress with you.

What happens afterwards

After each session

Some soreness for a day is normal, like after exercise. Sharp or worsening pain is not: tell your physiotherapist.

Two to six weeks

Most back, neck and joint problems improve over a course of sessions with the exercises done between them.

Risks and limits you should know

  • Temporary soreness after treatment
  • Rarely, a flare of symptoms that settles with rest and a change in the programme

Every treatment has limits and side effects. Yours are explained before you start, and you can always say no.

Questions people ask

How much is a physiotherapist at home in Lagos?

₦45,000 for a session of up to an hour, or ₦240,000 for a block of six with the same physiotherapist. No call-out fee in Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Lekki Phase 1 and the rest of the Island core. Elsewhere in Lagos a call-out of ₦5,000 or ₦8,000 is added to a single session, and waived on any booking of ₦50,000 or more, which includes the six-session block and the neuro session.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No. You can book directly. If the physiotherapist finds something that needs a doctor or a scan first, they will tell you and we arrange it.

Do I need any equipment at home?

No. The physiotherapist brings the couch and the kit. A clear space about the size of a bed is enough.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the problem, but most back, neck and joint problems need a course rather than one visit, which is why the block of six exists. Your physiotherapist gives you an honest estimate on the first visit.

Can I book for my mother or father?

Yes, including from abroad. You book and pay online, and with their permission the progress notes can be shared with you.
