Weight loss
Weight loss surgery in Lagos, with a written price first
Consultant care in Lagos, with the fee set out before you book.
You have tried the diets, the teas and the gym, and the weight came back. That is not a lack of willpower: the body fights to regain lost weight. Weight loss injections, a gastric balloon and keyhole surgery change the signals that drive hunger, and they work where diet alone has not. You see a consultant who does this work, you are told honestly which option suits you, and you get the price in writing before anything is booked. No flight abroad, and your follow-up is near home.

How care works here
- 1
A weight assessment with a consultant
Your weight history, your health and what you have tried. You leave knowing whether injections, a balloon or surgery suits you, and why.
- 2
Tests booked together
Bloods, a scan, an anaesthetic review and a dietitian, arranged as one plan rather than separate trips across Lagos.
- 3
One written price
The procedure, the stay and the first year of reviews in a single figure, before you commit.
- 4
A year of follow-up
Reviews with the surgeon and a dietitian, and checks on your vitamins and bloods, because the year after is what makes it last.

Questions people ask
Am I heavy enough for surgery?
Surgery is usually for a BMI of 40 or more, or 35 or more with diabetes, high blood pressure or sleep apnoea. For people of Black African family background the thresholds are lower. Below that, injections or a balloon may suit you better.
Which is best: sleeve, bypass, balloon or injections?
It depends on your BMI, your health and what you want. The sleeve is the most common operation. A bypass helps diabetes and reflux more. A balloon and injections need no cuts but give smaller results. The consultant will advise.
Will my HMO pay?
Most HMO plans in Nigeria do not cover weight loss treatment. The desk will ask your HMO, and you are told the cash price in writing before anything is booked.
Do I need to go abroad?
No. Keyhole weight loss surgery is done in Lagos by surgeons trained abroad. Staying near home makes the year of follow-up far easier.
