Mounjaro prices in Nigeria by dose
These are prices Nigerian sellers published on 2 November 2026, for one pen of four weekly doses, which lasts a month. Prices move with the naira, because the pens are imported.
- 2.5 mg (starting dose): ₦480,000 to ₦620,000
- 5 mg: ₦590,000 to ₦795,000
- 7.5 mg: ₦710,000 and above
- 10 mg: ₦720,000 and above
- 12.5 mg: about ₦850,000
- 15 mg (top dose): ₦880,000 to ₦950,000
Why the dose matters for your monthly cost
Everyone starts on 2.5 mg. The dose rises by 2.5 mg no sooner than every four weeks, as long as you tolerate it, until you reach the dose that works for you. So the first month is the cheapest, and most people pay more by month three or four.
Many people do well on 5 mg or 10 mg and never need the top dose. Your doctor decides with you, based on your weight loss and side effects, not on a fixed schedule.
How to tell a genuine Mounjaro pen from a fake
NAFDAC and the World Health Organization have both warned about falsified weight loss pens. In Nigeria, fake Ozempic pens turned out to be relabelled insulin pens, which can cause dangerously low blood sugar.
- Buy only on a doctor's prescription, from a licensed pharmacy
- The pen should arrive sealed and cold, never at room temperature
- A price far below the ranges above is a warning sign
- Never buy a pen sold by injection at a spa, or through Instagram or TikTok
What Mezo charges
The Balance Clinic prices the programme and the medicine separately, so you can see both. The programme fee covers a monthly doctor's review and your dietitian. The medicine is supplied by Mezo's licensed pharmacy partner at the pharmacy price, quoted in writing at your assessment for your dose, and delivered to your door.
Without the dietitian, much of the weight lost on Mounjaro can be muscle, and most of it returns within a year of stopping. The programme is there to stop both.

How much is Mounjaro per month in Nigeria?
About ₦480,000 to ₦620,000 a month at the 2.5 mg starting dose, rising to ₦880,000 or more at 15 mg, from sellers' published prices in November 2026. A pen holds four weekly doses, so one pen is one month.
Is Mounjaro cheaper than Ozempic?
At the starting dose, Ozempic is usually cheaper in Nigeria. Mounjaro tends to lead to more weight loss, so the cost per kilogram lost can be similar. Your doctor will go through both with you.
Can I buy Mounjaro without a prescription?
You should not. It is a prescription medicine with real risks, including pancreatitis and gallstones, and falsified pens are sold in Nigeria. A doctor checks it is safe for you and reviews you every month.
What happens when I stop Mounjaro?
In the SURMOUNT-4 trial, people who stopped regained much of the weight within a year. Stopping should be planned with your doctor and dietitian, with a maintenance plan in place.
Then, if it suits you: Programme ₦75,000 a month, plus the medicine.
