Arranging a colonoscopy or endoscopy for a parent in Nigeria from abroad
The short answer
You can book and pay online from anywhere for a colonoscopy, gastroscopy or both for a parent in Lagos. The price is all-in, so nothing is paid on the day, and with your parent's permission the report and the doctor's review can include you by video. You need one person in Lagos to take them home afterwards, because of the sedation.

How it works from abroad
You choose the procedure and pay online, in naira, with your card. We contact your parent, or you if you prefer, to agree a date and go through their medicines, then the centre gives them the preparation and its instructions. The procedure is done as a day case in our endoscopy suite on Victoria Island, Lagos.
One price, paid online, with sedation, any biopsy, the specialist's written report and a doctor's review of it included. Nothing is paid on the day.
What you need to arrange
- Someone in Lagos to bring your parent and take them home: a relative, a friend or a trusted driver who stays
- A list of their medicines, especially blood thinners, diabetes medicines and iron
- Their permission for the report to be shared with you
- A quiet day after the test, with a toilet nearby the evening before
Hearing the results
The specialist tells your parent what was seen before they leave. The written report goes into their Mezo account, and a doctor goes through it by video. If your parent agrees, you can join that call from wherever you are, so you hear the plan first hand rather than through a relayed message.
When this is not the right route
If your parent is vomiting blood, passing black stools, bleeding heavily or in severe pain, they need an emergency department today, not a booked procedure.

Common questions
Can I pay from the UK or the US?
Yes. Payment is online in naira by card, and your bank converts it. The price is fixed when you pay.
My father does not use a smartphone. Is that a problem?
No. We can deal with you, or with a relative in Lagos, for the booking and instructions, and his report can be shared with you with his consent.
Which test should I book for my mother?
For bleeding, a change in bowel habit or bowel cancer screening, a colonoscopy (₦450,000). For ulcer pain, reflux or difficulty swallowing, a gastroscopy (₦350,000). For anaemia or weight loss, often both (₦750,000). If you are unsure, ask us before you pay.
