Healthcare in Nigeria, arranged from abroad

For a parent at home, or for yourself coming home for treatment: tell us what is needed and we send it to the right Mezo centre. You see the specialist by video first, you get a written price before anything is booked, you pay from abroad, and one care coordinator keeps you and your family up to date.

What do you need?

Questions people ask

Can I book and pay for my parent's care from abroad?

Yes. You book for them, and you pay by card from anywhere through a secure payment page we send you, which you can open again if a payment does not go through. The price is agreed in writing before anything is booked.

Will I be told what happened at the appointment?

Yes, with your parent's consent. A care coordinator is the one contact for you both, and the visit summary and results can be sent to you as well as to them.

Can I come home for an operation or for IVF?

Yes. You see the specialist by video from where you live first, your tests are planned before you fly, and the dates in Nigeria are set around the treatment, so you are not in Lagos or Abuja longer than you need to be.

Is it cheaper than having it done abroad?

Often, but compare like with like. Ask for an all-in written price that says what is included, and weigh in the travel, the time off and who sees you afterwards. Mezo gives you that written price before you commit.

How do I know the doctors are properly qualified?

Every doctor on Mezo is registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, and you can check any doctor at mezohealth.com/verify before you agree to anything.

When did you last have a full body checkup?
