Arranging physiotherapy at home for a parent in Lagos from abroad
The short answer
You can book and pay online from anywhere for a licensed physiotherapist to visit a parent at home in Lagos, for a single session, a block of six, or two-hour stroke rehabilitation sessions. With your parent's permission, progress notes are shared with you, so you can see whether it is working without relying on a phone call.

How it works from abroad
You choose the service and pay online in naira by card. We contact your parent, or a relative in Lagos if you prefer, to agree times. The physiotherapist comes to the house with the couch and the equipment, assesses your parent, agrees goals with the family and starts treatment the same day.
No call-out fee in Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Lekki Phase 1 and the rest of the Island core. Elsewhere in Lagos a call-out of ₦5,000 or ₦8,000 is added to a single session, and waived on any booking of ₦50,000 or more, which includes the six-session block and the neuro session.
Which service
- After a stroke: two-hour neuro-physiotherapy sessions, ₦85,000 each
- After a knee or hip replacement, or a fracture: six sessions with the same physiotherapist, ₦240,000
- Back, knee or shoulder pain, or weakness and falls: a single session at ₦45,000, or the block of six
Seeing the progress
Each visit is recorded against the goals agreed at the start: how far your parent walks, whether they can get up from a chair alone, how the arm is moving. With their consent, you see those notes, and a Mezo doctor reviews progress on the block.
What it costs on Mezo
Paid online. Assessment and a home exercise programme on the first visit.
Common questions
Can the same physiotherapist come each time?
Yes. The block of six is with the same physiotherapist, and we keep the same person for ongoing stroke rehabilitation wherever we can.
My mother keeps falling. Can physiotherapy help?
Often, yes. Strength and balance training reduces falls in older people, and the physiotherapist also checks the house for hazards. A doctor should look for medical causes too, such as blood pressure or medicines.
Can I pay from the UK or US?
Yes. Payment is online in naira by card, and your bank converts it.
