The assessment and any X-ray are Mezo prices. The treatment itself is priced by whoever you are referred to, after their own assessment, and you are told before you agree.

What happens, step by step

Dental assessment
The dentist examines your teeth and gums and may take a full-mouth X-ray. Decay and gum disease are treated before any braces.

Referral
If straightening is right for you, you are referred to an orthodontist, with your X-ray and notes.

The orthodontist's plan
The orthodontist explains whether fixed braces or clear aligners suit you, how long treatment takes and its price, before you agree.
Afterwards
During treatment
Keep your regular check-ups with the dentist; braces make cleaning harder, and decay can start around them.
After treatment
A retainer keeps the teeth in place. Without one they tend to move back.
Risks you should be told about
- Decay and gum inflammation around braces if cleaning is poor
- Discomfort for a few days after each adjustment
- Teeth moving back if the retainer is not worn
The dentist goes through the risks for your own mouth before you agree to treatment, and you can always say no.
