Bladder Stone Removal (Cystolitholapaxy) at Mezo Health in Lagos, Nigeria is priced in a written quote after a consultation from ₦50,000, because the right operation and its cost depend on what the surgeon finds. The quote covers the urologist and the anaesthetist, analysis of the stone, and a review with the urologist. Prices last checked 3 November 2026.
A telescope is passed through the urethra into the bladder, and the stone is broken up with a laser or a crushing instrument and washed out. There is no cut. A very large stone may be removed through a small cut in the lower tummy instead. Bladder stones in adults usually form because the bladder does not empty, most often from an enlarged prostate or a stricture, so the cause is treated at the same operation or planned with it.

How the price is set
Written quote after consultation
Consultant urology opinion: from ₦50,000

Questions people ask
Can bladder stones dissolve on their own?
Rarely. A few made of uric acid can be dissolved with medicine, but most bladder stones need to be removed.
Why do I need my prostate treated too?
Because an enlarged prostate that stops the bladder emptying is the commonest reason men form bladder stones. Removing the stone without treating the cause often means another stone later.
Why is there no fixed price on this page?
Because the size of the stone and whether the prostate or a stricture is treated at the same time change it. You get the price in writing before admission.
