Vitamin D test price in Nigeria
A vitamin D blood test costs ₦45,000 on Mezo, paid online and done at a BeaconHealth Diagnostics site. Vitamin D helps the body control calcium and phosphate, which bones, teeth and muscles need. The test is most useful when a doctor suspects a deficiency, rather than as a routine check.

Price on Mezo
| Test | Price | Book |
|---|---|---|
| Vitamin D | ₦45,000 | Book |
The whole price of the test: the sample taken at the site and the written result. Paid online before you go, the same at every BeaconHealth Diagnostics site.
What the test is for
The body makes vitamin D from sunlight on the skin. Plenty of sun does not guarantee enough: people with darker skin may not make enough from sunlight, and so may anyone who covers most of their skin outdoors or spends most of the day indoors.
Too much is harmful as well. Taking high-dose vitamin D supplements for a long time can build up too much calcium in the body, so take the dose a doctor or pharmacist advises.

- Bones that break easily, or osteoporosis

How to prepare
- No fasting. Eat and drink as normal.

Vitamin D: questions people ask
How much is a vitamin D test in Nigeria?
₦45,000 on Mezo, the same at every BeaconHealth Diagnostics site, paid online before you go.
Can I be low in vitamin D in Nigeria?
Yes. Darker skin makes less vitamin D from the same sunlight, and long days indoors or clothing that covers most of the skin reduce it further.
Can I pay at the lab?
No. You tick the test on Mezo, choose a BeaconHealth Diagnostics site that does it and pay online before you go. The price you pay is the price on this page, and the site has your order waiting when you arrive.
How do I get my result?
When the laboratory has checked and released your result, we send you a text message and you read it on Mezo, signed in to your account. If a doctor on Mezo asked for the test, they see it too. Mezo does not promise a result time on this page, because it depends on the test and the site.
