Plastic Surgery
Liposuction in Lagos
Stubborn fat is removed through small incisions with a thin tube, from areas such as the abdomen, flanks, back, arms, thighs or under the chin. It reshapes. It is not a way to lose weight, and it does nothing for loose skin.
Also called: Lipo, Lipo 360, Liposculpture, Body contouring, Double chin liposuction

How the price is set
Written quote after consultation
Consultation with Dr Kpaduwa, 30 minutes by video: ₦150,000
Put towards the total cost of your surgery if you go ahead.
Your price is a written quote after the consultation, because it depends on your body and the plan you agree. It does not move without your written agreement.
What your written quote covers
- The surgeon, the anaesthetist and the theatre
- Where the operation takes place, named in writing
- Garments, dressings, medication and your review appointments, priced into the number rather than added afterwards
Not in the quote
- Anything not listed in the written quote, which is costed for you before you decide rather than after
- Travel and accommodation if you are coming from outside Lagos
What decides your quote
- The number of areas treated
- Lipo 360, the whole circumference of the torso, against a single area
- Using the fat for transfer, as in a BBL
- Combining it with a tummy tuck, breast surgery or a lift
HMO plans in Nigeria generally treat cosmetic surgery as excluded. If you believe yours may contribute, ask the HMO before the consultation and bring the answer in writing.
Who this is for
- Areas of fat that have not shifted with diet and exercise
- A weight close to where you want it, and steady
- Skin with enough elasticity to settle over the new shape
- Fat under the chin or along the jaw, treated as its own smaller procedure
When it is not the right answer
- Weight loss. The amount that can be removed safely is limited, and the scales barely move
- Loose or overhanging skin, which needs a tummy tuck or a lift rather than liposuction
- Cellulite, which liposuction does not treat
- Heart, lung or clotting problems that make an anaesthetic unsafe until they are treated
The pathway, step by step
- 1
Consultation with Dr Kpaduwa₦150,000
Thirty minutes with the surgeon herself, by video. You bring your goals, your history and photographs; she tells you what is involved, what she would and would not do, and whether you should be doing anything at all.
- 2
Examination and a written quote
An in-person examination in Lagos, then a written quote that says what is included and what is not. Costings come from the team in writing, not from the surgeon in the room.
- 3
Screening before a date is offered
Nicotine, medicines, blood pressure, and whether your weight is still changing all affect safety and timing. The clinical team reads your answers before anyone offers you a date.
- 4
The operation
Small areas can sometimes be done under local anaesthetic; larger or multiple areas under general. Incisions are a few millimetres long and placed where they hide.
- 5
Garment and reviews
A compression garment for several weeks, and named follow-up.
Recovery, realistically
Week 1
Swelling, bruising and soreness, like a heavy workout. The garment stays on day and night. Walking from the first day.
Week 2
Most people are back at desk work.
Weeks 4 to 6
Exercise returns. Swelling is still settling.
Months 3 to 6
The final shape shows once the swelling has gone.
Risks you should be told about
- Contour irregularities, dents or asymmetry
- A fluid collection (seroma)
- Numbness that usually improves over months
- Darkening of the skin over treated areas, more likely on darker skin and usually temporary
- Infection
- Blood clots, and fluid shifts when large volumes are removed
Every operation carries risk. A surgeon who lists none is not being straight with you. Yours will go through these with you before you consent.
Questions people ask
How much does liposuction cost in Lagos?
Dr Kpaduwa's price is a written quote after the consultation, because it depends on how many areas are treated and whether the fat is used for transfer. Her video consultation is ₦150,000 and is put towards the total if you go ahead.
What is lipo 360?
Liposuction around the whole torso: abdomen, flanks and back, so the waist is shaped from every side rather than only the front. It is often combined with fat transfer to the buttocks.
Will the fat come back?
The fat cells removed do not grow back. The ones left behind can still enlarge if you gain weight, so a steady weight keeps the result.
Is liposuction a weight loss operation?
No. It changes shape, not weight. If weight loss is the goal, that conversation comes first, and the operation, if any, comes after.
Prices shown are in naira and were last checked on 7 October 2026. A “from” price is the all-in starting price for the standard case. Every operation is confirmed in a written quote after your consultation, because the right operation for you, and its cost, depend on what the surgeon finds.
