Plastic Surgery

Rhinoplasty in Lagos

The bone and cartilage of the nose are reshaped to change how it looks, and where breathing is a problem too, the septum is straightened in the same operation (septorhinoplasty). The aim is a nose that still belongs to your face, refined rather than replaced.

Also called: Nose job, Nose reshaping, Septorhinoplasty, Revision rhinoplasty, African rhinoplasty

How the price is set

Written quote after consultation

Consultation with Dr Kpaduwa, 30 minutes by video: ₦150,000

Put towards the total cost of your surgery if you go ahead.

Your price is a written quote after the consultation, because it depends on your body and the plan you agree. It does not move without your written agreement.

What your written quote covers

  • The surgeon, the anaesthetist and the theatre
  • Where the operation takes place, named in writing
  • Garments, dressings, medication and your review appointments, priced into the number rather than added afterwards

Not in the quote

  • Anything not listed in the written quote, which is costed for you before you decide rather than after
  • Travel and accommodation if you are coming from outside Lagos

What decides your quote

  • Primary or revision rhinoplasty, which is longer and more complex
  • Septum work for breathing in the same operation
  • Cartilage grafts, sometimes taken from the ear or rib

HMO plans in Nigeria generally treat cosmetic surgery as excluded. If you believe yours may contribute, ask the HMO before the consultation and bring the answer in writing.

Who this is for

  • A nose whose shape you have wanted to change for a long time, for your own reasons
  • A nose injured in the past that has healed crooked
  • Breathing problems from a deviated septum alongside a change in shape
  • A previous rhinoplasty you are unhappy with

When it is not the right answer

  • Breathing problems alone with no wish to change the shape, which is a septoplasty instead
  • Anyone whose face is still growing
  • Anyone hoping a new nose will resolve feelings that have little to do with the nose

The pathway, step by step

  1. 1

    Consultation with Dr Kpaduwa₦150,000

Thirty minutes with the surgeon herself, by video. You bring your goals, your history and photographs; she tells you what is involved, what she would and would not do, and whether you should be doing anything at all.

  2. 2

    Examination and a written quote

An in-person examination in Lagos, then a written quote that says what is included and what is not. Costings come from the team in writing, not from the surgeon in the room.

  3. 3

    Planning against your own face

Photographs and a frank conversation about what is achievable with your skin and cartilage. Thicker skin shows refinement more slowly and more softly.

  4. 4

    The operation

Under general anaesthetic, usually a day case.

  5. 5

    Recovery and reviews

A splint for about a week, then reviews as the swelling settles.

Recovery, realistically

Week 1

A splint on the nose, bruising around the eyes, and a blocked feeling.

Weeks 2 to 3

Most bruising has gone and most people are back at work and out.

Months 3 to 12

Swelling, especially at the tip, settles slowly. The final result takes about a year, longer with thicker skin.

Risks you should be told about

  • Difficulty breathing through the nose
  • Asymmetry or a result that is not what you hoped, and a minority need a second, smaller operation
  • Numbness of the nasal tip, usually temporary
  • Nosebleeds in the first weeks
  • Slow-settling swelling, especially with thicker skin

Every operation carries risk. A surgeon who lists none is not being straight with you. Yours will go through these with you before you consent.

Questions people ask

How much does a nose job cost in Lagos?

Dr Kpaduwa's price is a written quote after the consultation, because a revision or a septorhinoplasty is a bigger operation than a primary rhinoplasty. Her video consultation is ₦150,000 and is put towards the total if you go ahead.

Will my nose look natural?

That is the aim. Her published position is that the best result is one nobody can point at. If what you are asking for would look operated on, she will tell you at the consultation.

I only want to breathe better. Is this the right page?

Probably not. Septoplasty straightens the inside of the nose without changing its shape, and is a different operation.

Do you do revision rhinoplasty?

Yes. Revision rhinoplasty is planned at the practice. Bring the records from your first operation if you have them.

Prices shown are in naira and were last checked on 7 October 2026. A “from” price is the all-in starting price for the standard case. Every operation is confirmed in a written quote after your consultation, because the right operation for you, and its cost, depend on what the surgeon finds.
